2 to 3 is optimal for me in order to play my A ++ game. But in terms of $$ i would say between 4 and 8 depending on mood.

The obvious answer is 9-12 tables for optimal play if you're a full-ring nit!

I play 9-12 and still use 6th sense, but I don't pay that much attention to hands I'm not involved in (although I look up most big pots). "Not having enough time to make good decisions" is crap, just think faster.

Usually 4, I'll go up to 6 if I'm bored or there isn't much action.

I started at 4, then moved to 6, 8, 10, and 12.

I think im a slight loser at 12 tables, slight winner at 10 tables, a decent winner at 8 tables, and a solid winner at 6.

I play between 6-9 tables. However I usually start all sessions playing 4 tables for about 5 minutes just to get in the right mind.

It really is interesting to see how many players think 1-4 is best. I had the assumption that 50% of the people on this board, multi table 6+ games regularly.
Looks like jumping down in table volume will be a good thing for me.

I went from 8 to 6 when I moved up. I basically jumped over $100 NL though (from $50 to $200). I like 6. I definitely see myself being able to play just as well with 8 tables, but it may take a while.
