Re: What was the conflict with jamie Gold?
Sheesh, talk about misinformation!
What actually really happened was that Gold entered into a verbal binding contract for 50% of the winnings, with some schmuck that he could eat two bowls of blueberries at the final table and not puke on Allen Cunningham. As we all know, he is, after all, allergic to blueberries, and he only got two or three spoonfuls down before yakking all over the previous player of the year. He lost the bet, but Cunningham sued and ending up winning more than Jamie anyway. |

Re: What was the conflict with jamie Gold?
[ QUOTE ]
Gold tried to get a free seat from Bodog at the WSOP for a "friend". Since that didn't work, he wanted to make the guy feel better and promised him to share the winnings from his seat. After he won, the guy sued him for 6 million. I don't know the verdict, but I assume the US comedy court went crazy like usual. In Europe, where we have reasonable rulings on such issues, the guy would have gotten half of the expected value from that seat at best. Judging Gold's skill, it amounts to something like $3,75 before taxes. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks for ruining the joke, tool. |

Re: What was the conflict with jamie Gold?
I'll beleive the producer one.
If he payed for 50% of the buy in though..no doubt you must give half of it to the payee |

Re: What was the conflict with jamie Gold?
I heard the conflict involved raspberry Jell-O, a flat-head screwdriver, and a signed copy of Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Other than that, I have no details.
