Default JJ, donked into on flop, line please?

Villain is fairly unknown. Doesn't seem retarded but definitely not stellar. What would he bet into me with on the flop and what is my best play here?

I would call the flop and plan to get it in on a safe turn. If he checks, I'd just shove.

Turn is a blank (2d). Villain bets 40. My action?

All right, I call flop turn is 7s and villain bets 40 my action?

Or turn is 7d and villain best 40 my action?

I would fold if he bet the spade.

I would get it in on 7d though, as only one of just many possible draws came in.

Sounds good. I ended up calling him down on a dry board and he showed my 99 for top set. I really didn't see that coming. I was thinking something like TT possibly but I didn't think he'd bet so strong into me on the flop with top set. Good play by him

Well, I would say you shoulda pushed the flop

Meh, this situation sucks. I'd guess 50% of the time he has QQ-AA or a set, and the other 50% he has a small pp or a couple [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] with a 9.

I think I may just fold and try to get a better read. Unless he is maniacal he isn't going to play like this in a 3bet pot oop. But he sure makes it look that way huh.

This is why no limit is better than limit poker. He represented a hand pre-flop and didn't hesitate to lay out a reasonable size bet ATF. He could have 2 overs and a flush draw, a bigger PP, a smaller PP that turned into a set, or a smaller PP that didn't improve. That's what I would think and I would probably fold. If you knew something about his play, then you could challenge but u don't. If he ws not a stellar player, how could u put him on a bluff twice? He calls yr raise with nothing and then makes a continuation play. Probably not, so u are in one of the scenarios above. You lose alot of those and you may face another big bet on the river so if you do play you must raise so u can be certain where you are at. JJ is a small pocket pair and should be treated as such, face or no face. But I am probably wrong and he has A-7 diamonds.
