yondering in smaller stakes as things higher aren't turning out as I would like.
6 handed, $200 effective stacks, I raise KK UTG to $8 , both players on my left call. Flop 6s 5c 4d (pot $27) I lead for $20, player on my left calls, other dude folds. Turn Qc (pot $67) Opponent is 34/18/1.7. His flopplay looks quite strong as he cold calls with a player behind, but this can still mean one pair or a straight draw. Been wondering what the best line is on the turn. I feel that there is value left for me, but can't think of many good lines that 1) extract much extra from him 2) minimizes my loss vs. hands that beat me If I check turn and he bets and i proceed, I am giving him way too much power to use his position on me. If I bet turn and get raised, I am most likely beat and can laydown. So bet turn sounds the best till now, but what hands does he call that iI beat? And If I bet turn and get called, this leaves me in an akward spot on the river with one PSB left. He isn't calling there a lot with hands i beat, and neither is he bluffing much. So how does bet/fold turn, checkthrough or check call not too big of a bet sound? Or bet river small / fold to shove? Marnix |
