I was in top 20 in chips at the FTOPS 2 days ago early on. This is my 2nd hand at the table, first one I folded. WTF he snap-called river..

Not sure if this qualifies as sickest I ever played but it sure was the funnest, even though no where near the most profitable. It was last Saturday night at Bellagio, my brother and me were on vacation.

I had just bubbled out of the noon tourney at Caesars late that afternoon and was too burned out to play no limit or anything other than a nice relaxing low limit game. So I decided to donk it up at 4/8.

The table was an incredibly fun table, with everybody drinking including me. About four of the players were young guys from California in for the weekend and they were there to have some fun. One of the guys announces that next hand someone wins with a straight he's "buying" shots for the table. I say great, what kind of shots and says what do you suggest and I say tequilla so we(minus a couple of nits and one recovering alcoholic) do shots of tequilla after a straight hand.

Anyway, one of the guys was a lot more drunk than the rest of us, his name was Gus, a greek kid and not to stereotype but in my experience greeks have a lot of gamble in them. But Gus was just too drunk and too bad and was literally throwing his money away. A couple of times his buddy reached over to look at his cards in the middle of a hand and mucked them and no one complained.

Gus went broke and a couple of his friends had had enough and wanted to leave but Gus wanted to stay and pulled out $400 to buy more chips. They had a big argument and Gus got pissed and they eventually compromised taking $300 from Gus and only leaving him with $100.

Gus then went on a rush and won a few pots and had a nice stack. He was a good kid and I was happy for him. Now the fun hand.

I got 44 in EP. Gus utg limps as me and just about everyone else, the button raised and we all called. I get a fairly decent flop. 224 [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]. Gus as he was doing all night bet out, I smooth called, a couple more calls and the button raises, Gus raises and now I figure it's safe to stop slow plaing and I raise. It gets capped(5 bets as they allow 4 raises) and we are 3 way to the turn.

Turn is a 6 and we all put 5 more bets in. The River is an Ace and we put 5 more bets in again but the button is strangely much more confident and I feared he had pocket rockets.

The pot was so big it was funny since in these games in LV they give you all $1 chips. So I ask the button who got the last raise in if he had Aces and he says no and proudly turns over A2. Gus turns up A6 and I scooped a really big pot for a 4/8 game.

At the PCA $500 event, near the money. I get QQ in the bb he's button and he raises. I decide to take the risk that he raises lots of hands and call as i have been dieing to play a pot with this guy. Flop comes AJT. Ugly, he bets out 2/3 pot after i check. I call, b/c he is a maniac. Turn is another A. I actually like this b/c it decreases the chance he has an A. I check, he bets half the pot. Now i go with my read and am sure he doesnt have the A and i call. River is blank. About just over half his stack in the middle, so i go allin with QQ, he tanks forever and finally folds and accidently shows his 88. Now most people would think i played that poorly, but it was such a read based hand, that i'm very proud of it.
