Why does this sort of crap happen at the end of a bad night?

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
9 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is Button with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
4 folds, <font color="#cc0000">MP3 raises to $8</font>, CO folds, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($26, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $4</font>, <font color="#cc0000">MP3 raises to $16</font>, Hero calls, SB calls.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($74, 3 players)

if you raise the turn it should just be a shove given the stack sizes

I think the flop is a reraise, the bet and raise are both very weak

Oh, didn't post the results did I?

Ummmm yeah, QQ would have less likely caused me to throw my keyboard through my monitor.....It was K8.....WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I like just calling the flop bets because a 3bet could easily scare everyone out. Just calling traps some more money from the small blind and will keep your hand disguised. This is not a very drawy board so I wouldn't be worried about seeing a turn with the two villains.

I would have folded pre flop... in fear of a higher pocket pair dominating me. Sixes are not enough for me to call an early position 4xBB raise with people behind me still to act.

So are you saying you play this hand for set value? How much would the villan have to bet pre-flop for it not to be worth calling for set value?

What if villan pushes in for 5BBs. 8BBs? Is it still worth it to call with a low PP?
