I've been using AIM a lot less lately because the new version sucks and most people I talk to are on GChat anyway.

Only time I ever used a messaging service was like 4 years ago when I visited my cousin out of state and met a girl. We chatted a bit through there for a month or so til we got sick of it.

Since then...never used it. I'm pretty sure if I ever asked any of my friends what their screen name is I'd get a blank stare. I'm actually the opposite of the OP, I thought it was much less popular than it is.

Edit - who the f--k in Europe has an AOL account? Nobody. So it's MSN or Yahoo. Or, increasingly, Skype.
