Who's the best rapper alive?

For those of you who are saying Lil Wayne, I hate to tell you that most of his stuff was not written by him. He had a ghostwriter. I love Wayne, but I lost a lot of respect after I found this out.

Anybody who knows about Houston rap knows that Chamillionaire is the best rapper alive. I agree that most of his mainstream stuff is sub-par. Check our MM1 and MM2 as well as "Get your mind corrected" and "controversy sales". Both of these albums were done w/ Paul Wall (when they were on good terms).

Da Paper Route, Niggas be hatin, My money gets jealous, and still in love with my money are classics. Check them out.

Wait till March 27 when Cham drops Ultimate Victory.

Either way, the question was "Who's the best rapper alive?" Both Jay-Z and Eminem have a body of work vastly superior to Ghostface or Lil Wayne or almost anyone you want to bring up.

Well I'm not sure Nas made a choice to peak at age 21. I think your point applies most to Jay-Z.

Still, I'll take Supreme Clientele/Fishscale/Ironman over any three Nas, Eminem, or Jay-Z CD's and that's not even considering his Wu Tang material.

My answer is really Busdriver; I don't go in for the Con, pimps, hos, bling or guns stuff, so I can't agree with most of the choices in this thread.

Awol One and Buck 65 don't rap anymore, otherwise they might have a case.
