Why did you start, what led you to this area?

[/ QUOTE ]

I had delusions of being a semi-pro poker player until I realized I wasn't that good at poker. I could pay the bills, but no one gambles to pay the bills. Well at least they shouldn't since that lifestyle is stressful, low paying, and risky. I started casino whoring and ran pretty well in the beginning and amassed a bankroll. I talked to Homer about casino whoring and he told me about sportsbook arbzing and I did that once I worked the scratch up. I sucked pretty bad at it initially. (I think everyone does.) I'd like to imagine I'm fairly good now.

Sounds so much like me itīs scary. The poker + just paying the bills part that is, the rest is what Iīm looking to achieve down the road.

Could you explain some more, as in depth as you can, how you made this transition - from poker player to sports bettor plz. Also what did Homer tell you about casino whoring that you then used to amass a bankroll?

Or just point me to some good material that helped you at the time. Iīve been reading here and on other forums, ordered some books etc...but i still feel kinda confused. Like I donīt really know where to start.

So you're an immature kid, you've been sports betting for a couple of months, you know nothing about handicapping, and you're busto?

I've learned a lot, thanks for taking the time to be in the well.

I definitely don't think I can beat professional handicappers, so this is the approach I've begun to try to emulate. My most common betting strategy is to look for lines arbable with pinnacle and bet the non-pinny line.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is what I'm doing too. It works so well that I don't think my winrate is sustainable (49-34 in Feb). I usually work with pinny and sia (somtimes betus/5dimes/mansion/wsex). I think this method definitely works better than arbing (where I earn maybe $10 on a rare ten cent arb, or risk free middle), have you tried this method before Thremp? And what is the result?

It seems to me that arbing for cents is literally a waste of time (when your roll is small, say 10k). If you are bonus whoring at the same time it would make more sense. All in all, I can't make a 3k a month by arbitrage trading alone, but everyone talks about how successful they are at it. Am I missing something?

In short, it is a waste of time. If your roll is small you cant make that much tying up your entire roll on simply 1 bet a night to make $15. When you can make 20-30 of those a night, it adds up. Arbing is a grind. Anyone who says otherwise is out of their mind.

I only answered in case you wanted more than a 3 word answer.

Thremp is definitely a colorful character, but to say he knows nothing about sportsbetting is a little off. OK, maybe alot off. Thremp is actually quite knowlegable(not as knowlegable as he thinks) and is far from busto(funds are still in his name just not accessable).

He's actually alot more knowlegable than most junkies I see who *think* they have an edge and don't line shop. Thremp and one other person has helped me make more in 5 months "working" 2 hours a night than I did the previous two years playing poker 20 hours a week.

I'd like to think Performity put Thremp in the well for a reason. I'm glad to say I know that reason and want to thank Thremp and one other person for "taking me in"

My question for Thremp: Are you really just a homophobe or are you gay?
