Re: 100NL: A9s flops a flush draw
Is it wrong to just call the flop? $6 into a 28 pot seems like pretty good odds to call.

Re: 100NL: A9s flops a flush draw
OP, did u think CO made a weak bet trying to steal pot?? is that y u popped it up??
i think in most cases, when someone r/r preflop (even though it was a weak one) and then does lead flop (again weak though) i usually take the good pot odds we get here to bust him... also, u haven't seen him play too much, but did he fold to aggression or might he just float you in this case with overcards?? |

Re: 100NL: A9s flops a flush draw
I would like this play if you both were extremely deep stacked but with the size of your stack I would have just called. After raising to $25 you are left with about $54 and if he calls the pot will be at $72. This will put you in a very difficult situation. Can I ask what your play was if he flat called your raise and a blank hit?

Re: 100NL: A9s flops a flush draw
NL beginner grunch...
Call flop bet and turn a diamond. I think the problem with your raise is that if he pushes, you're getting close to the odds (~2.3:1) to call with your flush and BDS draws(and estimating about 1 out for the A). |

Re: 100NL: A9s flops a flush draw
Normally I'd be all about bet/3betting this flop but CO preflop min 3bet makes me a little worried he has an overpair.
I don't think you should be c/r here. If you want to make a big play go for hte bet/3bet. As played just call. |

Re: 100NL: A9s flops a flush draw
Yeh, i thought i should have just called. His line looked really weak, i thought i'd take a stab at it.
He actually folded, but if he doesn't fold hes probably raising again and i wouldn't have like to be all in with a draw this deep |

I didn't notice how small it was at first. |
