Default 200nl : River bluffs, Part 3

Villian in this hand is 18/5/2.5 (300 hands) and seemed solid. Wtsd/w$sd about 20/50. He is good enough to lay down tpgk.

Marginal Bluff, not really worth it. Flush got there, straight got there. Dont think he's betting the river with anything he's not gonna call the raise with. As an aside my faverite and most frequently succesfull bluffs are when a flush card gets there on the river.

Thats in his range, but it becomes wishfull thinking given everything else that can be in his range. Would he really bet AT/AJ given there are really no worse hands that would pay him off.

Ok - so if you don't bluff here would anyone call the river bet?

Not with any expectation of having the winning hand.

If you are going to take a stab at it, it has to be on the river. It may appear to villain that you were going for the c/r on the turn with the made hand. Once you check the river, you are done with the hand and cannot call villain's bet.
