Default Can You Fold Quads Here?

This was a hand I recently witnessed at the Bellagio $10-$20 game although I was not a direct particpant. To set the action: young Swedisk kid just sat down with approximately $12,000 ($10,000 of which is in the form of two "bricks" of $5000 apiece- a la High Stakes Poker). He open raises to $100 from middle position and the button, who just announced that it was his last hand, reraises to $450. The button has been absolutely crushing the game and is sitting on well over $20,000.

Everyone else folds and Swedisk kid calls. Pot is approximately $930. Flop comes A-7-7 and the action goes check-check. Turn is an offsuit 6 and now the Swedish kid leads out for $600. The button calls. Pot is now $2130.

River is an ace so final borad reads A-A-7-7-6. Swedish kid checks. The button now bets $1000 and the Swedish kid springs to life and check-raises to $5000 by throwing one of his "bricks" into the middle. Button takes a second and then pushes. So it is approximately $6000 more to the Swedish kid to win $18,000. Swedish kid stands up and the color visibly drains from his face. He says, "This can't be happening. This would be the sickest thing of all time." Assuming he has quad 7s, should he fold? Results to follow.

Swedish kid shouldn't be playing if he can't make this call.

he has the second nuts but I canŽt imagine a hand that villain would play this way apart from AA... so i guess it kind of depends. iŽd make the call though he has to invest 6000 to win 18000, iŽd make a crying call.

Yeah, [censored] that, I'm calling.

Also, put some more money in before the river, and you won't have this problem.

Always call when you think the opponent has the nuts.

What's with all these rediculously retarded should I call with 2nd nuts posts. If you were 10k bbs deep, maybe fold the 2nd nuts. Even 600bbs deep you should call with this. Couldn't someone possibly overplay Ax? Next time I guess the Swedish kid should call with quad 7s instead of c/ring.
