You can try these new ones, you can get 6 decks all in different back colors. http://www.classicplayingcards.com/ The site is a pain but if you play with it for awhile you'll eventually figure it out. [/ QUOTE ] This site is a major PITA and charging $1 for replacement cards kind of sucks. I wish they had a bit more information on the website about manufacturing. Seems like it's almost being run out of some guys garage in Utah. I'm not trying these unless somebody else can assure me that these cards are Copag/KEM quality and not Royal quality. |

Re: Need card setup advice
The guy who manufactures these chimes in over at chiptalk.net every now and again. There's a review of his cards there (warning: it's written by a dude he plays with weekly). But if you pm the guy and ask, he'll send you a free sample card. I got one awhile back. It seems close enough to my Copags for me to use them IF I dug the brightly colored backs and his pip design (on fours, for example, the pips are all lined up in one line of four, vs. the traditional one pip per corner). And I'm not sure I dig them that much.
Never touched KEMs or anything but Copags so, like Donny in The Big Lebowski, I have no frame of reference. |

Re: Need card setup advice
Dal Negro all the way. Great cards. Plus they (and Gemaco) have a nice SNAP to them that will keep the mechanics at bay

[/ QUOTE ] I have 5 decks of these cards and I do like them. Below is a mini review I did: Desjgn Paisley - These cards are a winner in my book. The card faces really jump out at you with a very white background and great looking fonts on the lettering helping these cards to stand out. They may have the most impressive faces I've seen on a plastic card. I abused the facepaint on these cards as much as possible but these cards showed absolutely no sign of wear. There is also a nice thickness to these cards. Not as thick as Dal Negro or Modiano but thicker than Kem and Copag. Cards also have a great flexibility to them without being "flimsy". I bent these cards every which way and they recovered every time. The texture on them is just ok as they are a bit slippery but they handled pretty well in actual game play (with a rotating dealer). The cards shuffle nicely and I really like the way these things glide across the table. Rating = 8.75 out of 10 |

Re: Need card setup advice
I have always used Copaq & swear by them. I suggest just buying another set. You can find them on the net for $14-$18 American if you surf around. Copaq cards seem to hold up the best out of all the cards i've used.... [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
