Default 50 NL 2 TPGK hands on dangerous boards

Hi all,

I'm a fairly experienced, winning small stakes limit player, and I decided to start playing and studying No Limit.

So I've been reading NL T&P and the lil green book and felt like it was time to start playing some NL hands at Full Tilt. During the 1st session I had quitte some spots were I felt like a huge donkey, because I had no clue if my play was spot on.

Long story short, please gimme some thoughts on how to handle the coming 2 situations...

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $52
Hero: $48.05
CO: $118.50
Button: $58.10
SB: $37.55
BB: $79.95

Villain is like 20/12 over ~80 hands and he hasn't played any big pots until this hand came along...
Comments on any street appreciated.

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, Hero calls, 2 folds, SB calls, BB checks.

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($1.5, 3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1.5, SB raises to $5, BB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($11.5, 2 players)
SB bets $7, Hero ??

Villain played too few hands to get a real read on, but I haven't seen him doing anything remarkable.

1: raise pf
flop: tough. I can't see him doing this with a weaker Q that often really, this is either J9/K9 or 2pr maybe 55. If you have seen him bet draws aggressively then you should call this. o/w fold. ROI here.

turn: fold for same reason as flop

2: check behind for pot control and for inducing bluffs on the river. You don't need to protect your hand since you have A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

So I check and call a reasonable size river bet, if river is a blank and he checks make a value bet.

Thanks for your replies Unknown Soldier. I played hand nr 1 pretty badly since I called the turn bet and folded to the shove on the river.

I played nr 2 the way you recommended though, checked behind turn, and paid off a 8$bet for a straight.

Hand 1. If you are going to play this hand, raise it pre flop. I personally dont like open limping, even 6 handed (its OK to use to mix up your play a little in certain situations). It leaves you in the dark if people just limp in after you and you dont flop a monster.
I agree with unknown soldier, if you have seen them play draws aggresively then call and if the river is a bank you can be confident you are ahead.

Hand 2. Not the greatest flop for AQ, I think checking the turn is about all you can do and probably fold to a bet on the river unless its a heart.

H1: Raise preflop. Or fold.

H2: Check behind for pot control, to avoid being pushed off the best hand and to draw to a heart cheaply.

Hand 1: Raise preflop, bet flop and fold turn. Smells a like set or QT.

Hand 2: Check behind and call a river bet (and of course raise if it's a heart)
