usps mailman stole package. whats my play?

yeah, either someone else took it or it didn't get delivered. sometimes packages show up as 'delivered' when in fact they're sitting at the post office (although this happens more often in big cities / apartment buildings, where they don't have somewhere to leave it).

Why are you having expensive crap delivered to your unmonitored apt to begin with. Anyone with the IQ to work at McDonald's would have that delivered to them at work. Maroon.

The same thing happened to me very recently.
- Ordered a package from Amazon
- Tracking said it was delivered
- I call UPS and they say I need to call Amazon so they can
contact UPS and open some sort of investigation
- I call Amazon. I merely explain what has happened and they offer to overnight a replacement to me.
- An hour after calling amazon a neighbor drops off the package, which was delivered to the wrong house.
- I send back Amazon's overnighted replacement.

Google "amazon phone number" to get their customer service # which may be hard to get or nonexistent on their website.

I'm at war with amazon right now over them shipping me [censored] through dhl. My most recent package showed up as "delivered, left with receptionist". I live in a condo building, ai'nt no mother [censored] receptionist. I call them and they tell me it was a mistake, that it wasn't actually delivered even though there was a scan of a [censored] signature on their website. The package before that they dropped off at a dry cleaners down the street and told me to go pick it up there. WTF?!?!!

See, I give the USPS guy a tip when he delivers my packages.
Now, it doesn't even have to be addressed correctly, and I don't even have to be home. The guy hunts me down, and makes damm sure he finds me, just to make sure I get my package. Sometimes he will throw away packages from Amazon, containing microsoft zune mp3 players, if those packages slow him down in his quest to deliver MY package in a timely manner.
