the $2500 min is just the initial funding, do some reading in the sites FAQ and in the forums regarding the signup process. The process should be clearer. I also bought a dozen ETFs. You get 10 no-cost trades a day, after that each trade is $3.50. I didn't realize this at the time, so I made 12 purchases for $7, which is still quite a steal.

I think no-cost trades are also very exciting because they eliminate many of the ETF negatives in the index fund v. ETF discussions.
