Default Online Satellites - Not looking good for the US

I won a seat through UB into the WPT LA Poker Classic about two weeks ago. I got a call today from UB letting me know that as of now they're not able to wire transfer money to the Commerce Casino. Instead, they're going to try to get the money directly to me so I can buy-in myself. People who were wondering if Stars will start running their WSOP sats anytime soon...

Forgive me for knowing how to link to other threads or quotes from other threads, but Lee Jones has already weighed in on this.

Synopsis of his comments: Satellitepalooza to start soon on Stars

That is what he says. I would not be too sure about Stars being able to buy WSOP seats however. That is up to Harrah's not Stars.

Doyles Room told me that wsop is not accepting 3rd party registration/paymentss (ie a poker site cannot sign you up). So they'll all prolly have some system to get you teh $$ and you have to do it yersel'.

WSOP/Harrah's also says that they have never accepted 3rd party payments in the past either.
So nobody really knows what the hell they're talking about wrt this whole 3rd party situation or what needs to happen.

I'd guess they're going for plausible deniability here...
