Hand 1 - I guess I played this poorly but any constructive thoughts on this hand would be great other than fold pre flop.
Hand 2-4= The villain was tight pre flop but insisted on aggression on flop+. also we had abit of history and i believe i had big implied odds against this player. Thoughts? thanks PokerStars Game #8421312404: Omaha Hi/Lo Pot Limit ($0.50/$1.00) - 2007/02/13 - 12:42:02 (ET) Table 'Skadi II' 6-max Seat #1 is the button Seat 1: Deron#22 ($148.50 in chips) Seat 2: HERO ($99.75 in chips) Seat 3: LumbertonNC ($196.70 in chips) Seat 4: Jingoto ($135.95 in chips) Seat 5: arein ($59 in chips) Seat 6: jaxtraw ($100 in chips) hero posts small blind $0.50 LumbertonNC: posts big blind $1 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to HERO [5s 3h Kh 2h] Jingoto: calls $1 arein: folds jaxtraw: calls $1 Deron#22: raises $3 to $4 HERO calls $3.50 LumbertonNC: folds Jingoto: calls $3 jaxtraw: calls $3 *** FLOP *** [Qc 4h 8h] HERO checks Jingoto: checks jaxtraw: bets $15 Deron#22: calls $15 HERO calls $15 Jingoto: folds *** TURN *** [Qc 4h 8h] [2s] HERO checks jaxtraw: bets $59 Deron#22: raises $59 to $118 HEROcalls $80.75 and is all-in jaxtraw: calls $22 and is all-in *** RIVER *** [Qc 4h 8h 2s] [6d] *** SHOW DOWN *** Total pot $304.75 Main pot $301.25. My opinions:
You are the luckiest summabeech. You misplayed each hand yet fell into a winner. Hand 1: Nothing wrong with playing a hand like 2-3-5-K for a raise, especially if you can put the raiser on Aces. For if the hand hits, there will be an Ace on the board, and the guy with Aces probably will pay you off handsomely. Same is true for King suited flushes. If it hits with an Ace of your suit, you probably will get paid. Once you flop Q-4-8, however, fold the flop, I don't care if there are two of your suit. You want to play a situation where you're going to get paid off. In this circumstance, you're the one who is going to be doing the paying, barring one of 2 aces hitting the turn or river or a miracle runner-runner. Assuming you put the other guy on Aces, he only needs a 2, a 3, and/or suited ace of hearts to crush you (and he's representing such a hand). And by the way, jaxtraw is a mongoloid. Hand 2: Either go all-in on the flop or fold. How could that flop have hit him, unless he has hearts? He's probably either got Aces, Kings, or an A-2 hand. Hand 3: fold this crap pre-flop from early position. On the river, when he bets less than what he bet on the turn, that's a sign he's in trouble and is trying to steal. A gorilla raise will have him fold, as he did. I'd min-raise, or raise half the pot, or whatever amount I thought would get me a call. Hand 4: raising from the BB with this hand is jaxtraw retarded. Minbets are generally retarded. Either lead out for a pot-sized bet or check raise all in. |

Don't post results. Also, posting four hands where you won big pots makes me think you should be posting this to BBV.
Hand 1 - you played this badly and sucked out. Preflop call I can live with (though I'm sure many would fold here as well), but flop is a fold and turn is also a fold (do the math and see how many outs you need to justify this call; you don't have them even if all the hearts and straight outs are clean). Hnad 2 - I like it given your read. People who overplay AA (and signal it reliably via pfr) are easy to take down like this. Hand 3 - versus a villain who actually has a straight on the turn and won't donk off chips with a stupid river bet, this is a fold on the turn. Looks like you had implied odds against this guy though. Hand 4 - looks standard except that your pfr looks kind of stupid. |

"Complete" is too strong. Let's call it 80%.
