Default Vancouver Area

I will be in the Vancouver area this week (Wed & Thurs). Does anyone know where to play some low limit Hold'em or Omaha. Thanks.

Hey Salamanca,

I assume you mean Vancouver, BC not Vancouver, WA.

In Vancouver BC area you have:

Edgewater Casino - Vancouver
http://www.edgewatercasino.ca/gaming/poker_room.php

River Rock Casino - Richmond (near the Vancouver Airport)
http://www.riverrock.com/casino/poker_room/

Good luck.

yup, those are probably the two best.... langley apparently is really good but it's very far from downtown... edgewater is right downtown and apparently the games are very good.... i've only played at river rock near the airport. it's good. weekly $100+10 tournament i think runs wednesday at 4:15, but sells out sometimes by 3:30.

604poker.com is a good site. has a forum dedicated to vancouver.

Does anyone know how the 2/5 NL plays at edgewater. Their website says it is offered. I will be in Vancouver this weekend.

I thought Edgewater pretty much only runs 4/8. Has this changed recently?

Never been there but their website says this:

Low Rakes Big Stakes. LARGEST Poker Room in Vancouver with the LOWEST Rake in town.

$1/2, $2/5 NO LIMIT
$2/4, $4/8, $10/20 LIMIT
$5/10 NO LLIMIT and $30/60 Limiti Fridays and Saturdays

Largest room in Vancouver is accurate I guess, River Rock is technically in Richmond and Cascades in in Langley. The rake is lower than the Great Canadian rooms. I think Edgewater has a BBJ now though so the rakes might be equal. They run alot more games now than they used too because they have 12 tables now.

edgewater apparently has expanded quite a bit. i think the rake is still lower than RR (one dollar cheaper... both have BBJ)... 2/5NL supposed to be incredibly soft although i'd like to see for myself.

Wow 12 tables? That's awesome, I'll have to check it out next time I'm there. Is River Rock still the best bet for higher limit games though?

Yes - I was talking about Vancouver, BC not Vancouver, WA.
Thanks for the info. That helps a lot. See you at the tables this week...
