Default $60 - taint shavin\' good times

This hand makes me feel about like Kärpänen cutting his balls.

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t200 (5 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t3495)
CO (t1900)
Button (t3520)
SB (t2930)
Hero (t1655)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG calls t200, <font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="gray">Button folds</font>, <font color="gray">SB folds</font>, Hero checks

Flop: (t500) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
<font color="red">Hero bets t200</font>, UTG calls t200

Turn: (t900) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks

River: (t900) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
<font color="red">Hero bets t400</font>, <font color="red">UTG raises to t800</font>, Hero dies a little inside...

Obviously I'm underbetting the flop because I want action. I can't always be paranoid about the flush vs. one villian right? I take stabs at paired boards all the time, not sure if anyone at the 60s ever notices though. CR the flop maybe? C/C river? I'd kind of like to get some value if I can.

Villain is playing a dangerous game if drawing for the flush.

a) Hes drawing on a paired board
b) Hes allowing a free river card which could pair the board for the second time or give a 4th spade - which would be very dangerous if he didnt hold AX spades.

Id think its possible to see the fourth jack in his hand - although assuming he played from UTG, should mean youre beat anyway.

What does Villain call with on the flop besides a better J/boat or flushdraw?
Looking at this hand, the river is an easy fold, unless Villain is a total spewtard. I don`t think that a slowplayed AA would minraise the river. So there`s really nothing out there you beat.
Fold and hate yourself

And checking the turn is standart here, right?
I dunno about the river. In the heat of the game i also valuebet here, but we checked the turn for a good reason...maybe you can bet a little smaller on the river so he can call with a PP or other crap. But thats maybe already result orientated. Whatever, you have to fold that river.

Check flop

Much prefer Hero's line of betting out. You have to credit villain with a decent hand as he played from UTG. A check-call will halt most villains. But a lot of villains will raise Hero's bet with overpair or mid pair - and you then have a chance of stacking them.

Any pocket pair. Any 3. Overcards. Why are we betting so small if we don't think he's gonna peel with junk?

I guarantee very few unknowns at the 60s stress about a paired board when they hit their flush. A hand in another SNG dude checked behind with a made straight on the turn and a 3-flush on board. Another hand last night a dude minbet a made baby flush the whole way. Literally 50 chips, F-T-R. I have no idea what goes through these people's minds.

Check shove flop.
Min bet is really bad.
As played I have no idea what to do on turn or river because I would never min bet the flop.

I agree minbetting might suck. But do you really think check/shove extracts the most value? Also remember this is the 60s. Unknowns are generally very passive. They play their cards 90% of the time.
