Why does the page skip down when I click on a thread?
Most times when I click on a thread that has number of responses, but that I have not yet viewed, the screen skips down the page by itself. Then I have to scroll all the way back to the top to read the OP.
Why is this happening? How can I prevent this from happening? Thanks. |

Re: Why does the page skip down when I click on a thread?
It's skipping to the unread responses. This seems a pretty reasonable feature, especially since that "home" key brings you back to the top.
For a thread with multiple pages, clicking the little "1" will take you to the top instead of the unread. I don't know how to go directly to the top otherwise. -Sam |

Re: Why does the page skip down when I click on a thread?
The problem is that it happens on threads that I haven't read before, which becomes really annoying. I really hate it when I click on a thread with 35 responses that I haven't read before and it skips to the "un-read" responses, even though I haven't read the OP or any responses in the thread.
But, yeah, it's an ok feature if I've been reading a thread and am coming back to it to check up on responses. It's just too bad that this feature doesn't work the way it's intended. Good tip about the Home key though. That's actually one i didn't know about. |

[/ QUOTE ] It skips down to the responses that were posted since the last time you logged in to 2+2. On the list of threads, there is a column named "Replies" Typically, there are two numbers in the column. The first number in black is the total number of posts in the thread. The second number in red and in parentheses is the number of new posts since you were last on the board. If you just click on the thread title, you will go to the first of those new posts, whether you have read anything in that thread or not. |
