So the government is making coins instead of bills because they be worth .01 euro as opposed to .00 euros? Lol. [/ QUOTE ] Just so we're clear, I am arguing the government is making coins instead of bills because, down the road, the government expects a dollar be worth what a nickel or quarter is worth today. They want the coins ready for us to use, so our life can continue as smoothly as possible. Not so they can melt them down. Does anyone think it's accidental that the government has been pursuing an inflationary policy instead of trying to pay down the debt? Through both parties and for over two decades this has been going on, but if you look around its getting bigger and bigger. Like the Fed's decision to stop publishing the M3 last year. |
