Re: Is Urlacher the Most Over Rated Player in the NFL?
While I'm taking everyone's word that Urlacher is good, as a casual Bears fan I'm disappointed at how he performed in the Super Bowl. I recall a few running plays up the middle where Urlacher would run right into a wall of blockers, leaving a big hole. It wasn't even a challenge for the O line to block him. I think that if a team has as much success running up the middle as the Colts had, you have to lay part of that on Urlacher.

[ QUOTE ]
Chris Chambers is extremely overrated. [/ QUOTE ] man, i hate to say it as a dolphins fan, but thats probably the best answer we'll see. a massive amount of blame goes to the qb's he's had to work with, because if you watch them consistently the talent is obvious, but he just isn't producing like he should be. |

Is this just from last year? Adalius really hasn't been that prolific. The last 2 years he's really started playing very well though. [/ QUOTE ] Last year or two. I also omitted guys like Derrick Brooks because they could hit the wall and decline suddenly (see: 2006 Trotter). I'd much rather have the youngsters than Brooks, Lewis, Thomas, etc. |

[ QUOTE ] roy williams of the cowboys and sean taylor of the redskins [/ QUOTE ] They're pretty good picks for most overrated defensive players. [/ QUOTE ] i know williams can't defend the pass and scrues over his team in pass coverage, but i thought taylor was actually pretty good on the field and just a nut off it...maybe i'm missing something... |

Chris Chambers is extremely overrated. [/ QUOTE ] well, he is prolly a bit overrated, but cut him some slack as the QB play there has been flat out bad...they don't call his number enough, at least i hear... |

[/ QUOTE ] Taylor is a liability in pass coverage as well, especially deep coverage. Probably not as bad as Williams, but still a liability. I would say Williams is more overrated than Taylor. Williams is widely regarded as one of the top safeties in the game, and he's not even close imo. |

Re: Is Urlacher the Most Over Rated Player in the NFL?
I agree w/ the Alexander & R. Williams nominations.
Urlacher is voted as most overrated by the players like every year so I don't think he can be overrated. |
