I think I call a few things need to be considered.

1. How often have you been opening

2. Does he know who you are?
3. Are we supposed to read is 1.9mill reraise differently from a push? What reason would ari have for this?
4. Has he 3bet you yet?

Not very often

Yes, we've played a lot together. I'd say he should know he has not much FE in this spot against me from my previous play with him.

Don't really know his reason, for me it's exactly the same.

Once before in the FT and I folded then.

Alright after reading the response I'm still really confused here's why.

1. The fact that he knows he doesn't have much fe mans that he's prob pushing tight

2.I feel like the slightly less than push isn't an accident and it maybe because he's trying to make his hand look stronger to increase his FE.

I dunno I guess I call but I'm not really liking it

No experience with Ari, but I was railing when he 3-bet you with a middle pair and cracked your KK earlier. I thought this situation seemed similar and his leaving a small bit behind was to represent more strength than he actually had. Just a railer's two cents...

ari is pushing much tigther than most people here. this goes triple when he knows he doesn't have much FE.

I'm torn. AT is a pretty big hand 5 handed. he could easily be making a play here. OTOH, you're behind to to four other ace hands, pairs, especially JJQQKK and you've still got chips if you fold. you're crippled if you lose. the payout structure is top heavy. you want first, and shouldn't care about the 5k difference b/t 4th and 5th. I guess I'd push but it's close.

above was w/o reading other replies. and I don't know Bodog Ari.

When a good player pushes over you at a FT w/o much FE you can bet your AT is behind - esp if you've been playing fairly tight and you are raising against non-easy targets in the blinds. There are better situations for a player to attempt a re-steal.

While this may be a marginal cEV call, the FT is one place where the $EV can be divergent from cEV.

All this said, Ari knows these things, so there could be some higher level 'he knows I don't have much FE here, so he'll think I'm strong' type thinking here too - so I don't think calling here is terrible, but I'd give a lean towards folding.
