Default 123K Badudi, Draw or stand pat

I raise 123 rainbow UTG+1 and get 3 callers incuding 1 blind. I draw 1, 1 CC draws 1 the other 2 and the blind 2.

I get no help, I bet and the other 3 call.

I make a K Badugi and bet, the others again call. I can tell that no one got there. Blind draws 1.

So stand pat or draw?

I imagine it's draw. You are guaranteed to have the best draw, so no one catching means that you've already got the best hand, the only circumstance that changes is when you lose to someone making a K on the river.

i would draw pretty easily here. againstt 3 players i think they are probably a favorite to improve against your K. but also realize that the main difference beween badugi and triple draw is that a 3 card hand still has value on the river. while you may not want to break a pat hand in TD in fear of making your hand worse and letting your oppnent win wih some BS hand, the beauty of badugi is that your opponent almost always HAS to make a badugi to beat you since if you both miss your 3 card hand will come into play.

I've played very little badugi, but I'd draw as well. The only advantages of standing pat are if you bet out and somehow make someone who made a better badugi (a Q or J) fold or to get paid off by someone who made a worse King. However, you are going to get at least looked up by those who catch weaker badugis and raised by people who make strong badugis.

If you draw, you can improve your hand and at worst you still have the nut three-card hand, which is virtually as good as a king.

I rapped pat, everybody drew 1 and then I figured that I screwed up.

Yeah, somebody made a J and took it down.

the K only improved you hand by a micron and you should draw even if HU. paradoxically, if you started with a worse hand, and there was one less player, you could consider standing pat.
