Re: BEAT: Gas station calls cops on me
I wouldn't have paid them a thing. If their reject clerk can't work the register and set it for $20 then F'm. His draw is gonna be short and it's his fault. In fact, I would like this story 37 times more if you came back at night and pissed in the ash tray outside the door.

Beat: Some guy working minimum wage at the gas station has to pick up your douche-baggery change. It's not like you're never going to ever buy gas again. Also, it's 6 bucks. Maybe if they went way over what you wanted, but seriously, it's 6 bucks!
You're lame and a douche. |

Re: BEAT: Gas station calls cops on me
Even without a poll, seems you guys are about 70 vs. 30 that I was a douche.
I can live with that. A couple things should be noted. I did spend a summer working at a gas station when I was 16/17 years old. When I overpumped someone, which happened about once a week, the station would take the loss. All the manager asked for was a note signed by the person who we had overfilled. I didn't like looking irresponsible, so I would usually tell the person I had overpumped, "wow, you got 5 extra bucks of gas. Now I have to call the manager and stuff, do you have about 15 minutes?" Regardless of their answer I would then say, "tell you what I will split the difference. Can you pay half, and I will pick up the other half?" That worked nearly every time. I respect the gas people, I even tip them because most people don't. You tip the coffee girl 1$ for pouring you a drink, but most people don't tip the gas attendant who washes your window, fills your tank and checks your oil. Had their attitudes at the Pilot been different, I would have been happy to pay the monies, or split the difference. I even offered to split the difference, but when they started talking about calling the cop, that's when I stood my ground. Have a nice day. |
