TT-50nl Two hands pushed in on Preflop
Usually TT is a std fold if you get pushed all in on preflop for 100bb at 50nl but what do you think of these two situations?
Hand1: Villain just sat down and posted oop. What is your calling range? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($48.80) BB ($49.25) Hero ($50) MP ($116.30) CO ($50) Button ($25.05) Preflop: Hero is UTG with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.50. Hero raises to $2.5, 1 fold, CO (poster) raises to $50, 3 folds, Hero ? Hand2: Villian is playing very aggro and is at about 40/32/5 and I have 3bet him 4 times in the last 3 orbits. He has folded twice to my cbets and twice preflop. I knew he was going to play back at me very soon but this time I actually had a good hand. What is your calling range here? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($55.40) Hero ($71.75) UTG ($16.40) MP ($65.80) Button ($24.75) Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Button calls $0.50, SB raises to $2.25, Hero raises to $7.75, Button folds, SB raises to $55.65, Hero ? |

Re: TT-50nl Two hands pushed in on Preflop
1) Fold.
2) Fold. TT is a good hand, but you're flipping at best both times. In hand 2, you say you've 3bet him a lot recently and he's folded pf or to cbets. Well this time he appears to like his hand. I'd rather call in hand 1 than in hand 2 honestly, but I'd fold both. |

fold both.
Against the 43/32 player, you will find much better spots to stack him. |

Re: TT-50nl Two hands pushed in on Preflop
With the first hand, villain is either
a) A donk. b) A relatively competent player who has been dealt a big pair or AK and realizes that a lot of opponents won't give him credit for it if he shoves the first hand he was dealt. I would call it, but with the full understanding that I may well be losing a buy-in. The second hand, you describe a situation where villain is just itching to get you all-in with a good hand, and has reason to believe that you'll do it. You are interpreting his shove as saying "Oh yeah? You wanna reraise me again?! Let's see how you like some of your own medicine" when villain is actually saying "I've got KK? Hell yeah! Let's see how your 3-betting ass likes me now". Fold it. |

Re: TT-50nl Two hands pushed in on Preflop
I ended up calling in hand one and was up against AK and I folded hand two. Hand 1 was a bad play bc the villain ended up being pretty solid but I have seen some donks push their first hand at the table with mid pp in similiar situations.

Re: TT-50nl Two hands pushed in on Preflop
OK maybe 'solid' wasn't what I meant exactly. He was 20/15 and my TT was probably behind his range.
