Re: The Ultimate Bowie
Christiane F. is a pretty important Bowie movie, IMO.

Re: The Ultimate Bowie
Bowie is awesome, I recently decided that I need to own/listen to more Bowie since I like pretty much everything I've ever heard by him. But I actually don't have a lot, this could be a good place to start. I like his 'funky' stuff, like Let's Dance, especially.

It was his go at the Philly R&B, soul sound...very interesting album. And funky! |

interesting
albums: wow, I'm amazed at some of these results. I thought Ziggy Stardust might win the album poll but I never thought it'd be such a blow out! I'm also surprised there was no love for Lodger.
songs: the early songs win, hands down...but no votes for The Jean Genie? I almost voted for that over Rebel Rebel... films: Guess I'm not surprised that Labyrinth won this, what with the age range on 2+2.I actually thought The Man Who Fell to Earth would win this. persona: now this is odd to me: the early years wins, but the later years is tied for second, while only barely registering in the albums and songs polls! anyway, thanks to all who voted...I'm a huge Bowie fan and it's nice to see there's others on 2+2, as well. |

Its very hard for one well known persona to play another without the audience constantly thinking about who the actor is. Bowie really nailed that one. |

Diebitter?
Seriously, though, it's clearly Lodger. I think Lodger rules, my stepdad's a fool. -bb. |

Re: The Ultimate Bowie
Great thread.
Bowie is an absolute and underappreciated master, and quite possibly the coolest man of all time. |
