anyone good with basic physics? I suck and I'm trying to confirm my answers:

What happens at an inflection point on a graph of displacement versus time? (select all that apply)

a. acceleration changes sign
b. velocity is zero
c. velocity changes from increasing to decreasing or vice-versa
d. velocity is at a maximum or minimum over the whole movement time

a and c are basically the same question. negative acceleration is equivalent to decreasing velocity.

b is when the graph is flat

d is when the slope is the most positive/most negative

its been five years since i took physics tho.

IIRC, inflection point = second derivative switching +/- = 0.

a. Yes. Sec deriv of displacement is acceleration.
b. No. Acceleration switching sign does not necessarily mean v=0, so not b.
c. Yes. See a.
d. Yes. If a=0, then v is at max/min because a is deriv of v.

Total disclaimer, I haven't taken physics in 6 years.

Actually, Elky's gotten better too. I believe his huge losses are from HU play (or something other than 9-man SNGs).
