Tom:
I'm curious to see what others say about this hand but I'm going to have to say fold here. You have a very nice draw. In a cash game I'm sticking it all in quickly because I know I can reload. But here you can't recover from zero. Draws in sng's generally = death. If you could play SNG's and chase almost no draws you would do very well and not miss much EV at all. Just my $.02 good luck. Re: 3--AKs FD & Gutshot getting 2:1 to call All-In on Flop.
I dunno, seems like an easy call, you are denying very good pot odds if you fold...
you get here 36% just from the flush (when you need just 31% to make it the right call),you have the Q and the K and A outs can be good sometimes against AJ, QQ, KK etc seems like at least 9+3+2.5=14.5 outs, more than enough to call. BTW... I didn't like the preflop raise but that just my 2$ S&G humble opinion. |

I almost never fold here. He have 12 outs vs a set getting over 2:1, and his range is a lot wider than just sets here.

You must call here. It is a hugely profitable spot. Against his range, you are a huge favorite. Put him on one pair and look at it with Pokerstove, you will see u have a big equity edge.

cant say the PF raise isnt a bit too bloating though... [/ QUOTE ] I was using 4bb + 1bb/limper. I guess thats a rule of thumb for a cash game. What do you think is a better raise amount here? |
