I haven't had much success betting Chicago this year. They look good on paper, but haven't been a consistently good team. They were also on the road playing a team two time zones away.

As stated above, you can only blame yourself for poor bankroll management. What does Stern have anything to do with it?

If you actually watched the 4th quarter. It's not like Chicago choked big time, GS just played real well. I know it sucks horse c*ck that it happened the way it did but get over it dude!!!! You make it sound like this never happened before. No one forced you to put money on Chicago, so don't blame others for your mistakes. Peace

stern needs to make a rule that CHI never loses if they build a 14 point lead.

yes it is my own fault for betting more of my bankroll than i should have on one game, but stern needs to crack down on teams giving up. its a professional [censored] league. boston is losing on purpose to ensure the #1 pick. chicago played 50% in the 4th quarter just b/c they didn't feel like trying. they missed to clear lay ups and shot like D-2 college teams.

the NBA is a studio show, it's not a competitive sport

wow.
My first official, "this may be the dumbest thing I've ever read on 2+2."

If you really believe this then why would you even bet on the games in the first place?

I agree with OP. They should do something to stop teams from being able to ensure they get the #1 pick by tanking down the stretch. Now this is kind of a crazy idea, so I don't know if anyone would go for it, but what if they instituted some kind of "lottery" whereby all the teams that miss the playoffs have a chance to get the top draft pick the next year with it being weighted somewhat in favor of the worse teams? Do you think this would be enough to keep teams from intentionally losing like the Celtics are doing?

if you asked me what my favorite league/sport was when i was a teenager, i would've said the nba.

the league is a joke. total lack of effort by some players on some nights, and either i don't know the rules or the officiating is awful.

playoffs are a different story, although after the jekyll and hyde performance of the heat in the finals last year, i'm not even sure that is the case anymore.
