Re: NL 50 66 Flops a set on a drawy board
I thnik you should have bet more on the flop. Also would have gone for a push on the turn, make him go AI on a draw and if he hit a srtight you are calling any way so go with it.

flop bet standard is prolly 7, but i agree a turn push looks better to me because I have equity vs a straight.

Re: NL 50 66 Flops a set on a drawy board
You can't just open push on this turn. Villain has $50 left and you more than $100. No way you get a bad call from a FD here unless villain is a really bad donk. Bet $20 on the turn. Then you have an slightly easier call on the river (pot is 60, he bets 25 or pushes for his last 30).
As played, his line looks very much like a flushdraw. It's hard to say against an unknown. He played from UTG. So on average I don't think he has the straight with T8 or T5 or some crap like that. He called a raise so I have trouble thinking of small SCs unless he is quite a donkey calling station. I think I block here for $25 and hope he doesn't raise but his stack is only about 37 so that might be wishfull thinking if he has anything at all. As played I call and hope I see some grossly played TP or 2pair often enough. But I think it's very marginal. It really looks like a value bet. Villain leaves money behind. If he was bluffing, he'd probably push. Or he is leveling us... |
