PokerStars (6 handed) internettexasholdem.com
Table '42557234 1' 6-max Seat #2 is the button Seat 1: Hero (1530 in chips) Seat 2: Button (1490 in chips) Seat 3: SB (1480 in chips) Seat 4: BB (1500 in chips) Seat 5: UTG (1500 in chips) Seat 6: MP (1500 in chips) SB: posts small blind 10 BB: posts big blind 20 Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of 10. UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero raises to 80, Villan raises All-In to 1490, 2 folds, UTG folds, Hero?? Final Pot: 2nd hand of STT no reads on Villan yet. 1st hand was dealt QT OTB and open raised to 3x bb and both blinds folded. Here make std (3x+1x/per limper)BB raise w/ AK and Button moves all in. Would this be considered a bad fold if I felt that I was the best player at the table? Why or why not. If you feel that calling is easily the best play please explain why. Typically AK plays much better as a raising hand not a calling hand epecially in an all in situation for this many chips so early in this STT. What kinds of hands could I put my opponent on here? Here is what I thought my opponent may have: Low to Medium pair (22-JJ) 45% Big Pair (QQ-AA) 10% AJ-AK (35%) Bluff (10%) |

I'd probably fold for the reasons you outlined. Better player, etc.
I would need a read that this guy is a maniac that will do this with quite a few smaller As. Also, if you think those are realisitc probabilities on what he has, just put it in poker stove. cEV is eseentially $EV here. I think you need to bump up the % for big pairs though. |

Ok I dont think he is bluffing here I cant imagine a bluff the 2nd hand of a sng where he would risk 1500 chips for the 80 just makes no sense. I think I would fold here as I think you are racing and im not a fan of racing this early.

You might be racing here but you also could be up against a range you are crushing. At the low, low limits this could be Ax, KT+, 22+, QJ. . . I don't think you can go wrong by calling here but folding is fine too. People do CRAZY [censored] in these low limits. AK is really strong and I almost never fold it PF in a 6.5 let alone a 3.25. |

I don't need to put my opponent on a hand. There's no range I can reasonably give him that AKo doesn't beat handily. You don't become the "best player at the table" by passing up big edges.
