First website, need some help
Hey guys, like some of you I'm making money playing online poker but I want to have some security about my income. That's why I just started my first website about free online poker bonusses. I know there are alot of sites offering this, that's why I would like to ask you guys how to make this site a succesfull website. I found a nice domainname (www.freepokerbonus.net) and hosting. I've uploaded wordpress blog and started with my first 2 bonusses. I will add some more later this week..
Now my problem is; how do I get traffic to my website. I was hoping that some of you can give some advice/suggestions about how to do this. Are my title/metatags/webdesign any good to get high in google etc. So if anyone has some advice for me, please tell me Regards, Michael PS: Should I do more subjects on my website, like poker articles/strategies, poker movies, forums and stuff like that? |

Re: First website, need some help
First off, put a clickable link in your post, people are lazy.
Secondly you picked a fairly competitive market for a first site. However you did narrow that down by focusing only on no deposit poker bonuses which is good but still probably too competitive for a fist time site. Anyway I'd change your site title to something like FreePokerBonus.net | Reviews of no deposit poker bonuses. I'd also remove your pokertracker stats and use text to illustrate the same thing. Newbies looking for first time no deposit bonuses have no clue what pokertracker is or what those stats mean. Give some personal meaning to those stats - On July 25th I received my $25 no deposit Party Poker Bonus. My first week I had won $200 playing $1/$2. I continued to play $1/$2 through August and by the end of the month I had won $2000! I cashed out $1500 and received the money in my checking account in two days! You're confirming to them - A) that the bonus works, B) that they too can win (because everyone thinks they're a poker pro) and C) that they'll get the money after they win. Also, don't be too suprised if you never get ranked high in google. And don't be suprised if you don't even show up in google for 3-9 months. |

Thanks for your post bradley! Here's the clickable link for the layzie people http://www.freepokerbonus.net
I understand that getting high ranked in google is very hard, but how should I get traffic to my website? @Hankhill, not specific but I'm planning to make a section for us players because party and titan don't allow them. |

Also, don't be too suprised if you never get ranked high in google. And don't be suprised if you don't even show up in google for 3-9 months. [/ QUOTE ] Very true. Are you planning on adding regular posts or just the poker offers you have? Are you banning certain countries from the promotion due to problems with fraud? [ QUOTE ] Hey guys, like some of you I'm making money playing online poker but I want to have some security about my income. [/ QUOTE ] This really isn't much security since both sources of income are tied to the health of online poker. [ QUOTE ] how should I get traffic to my website? [/ QUOTE ] Submit to directories, bookmarking sites, topsites, exchange links, add more content. Learn more about SEO and how to optimize your site/keywords. Rinse and repeat.
