Campus tournament, theoretical spot
Weekly on-campus freeroll tournament, prizes are 25-15-10-5 (top 4 paid) gift card. 7 players left, I'm in 4th or 5th chip position, average or slightly below-average chips
Stacks: SB t700 BB t450 Me: t375 to start Blinds 15/30 I have 2s-2c UTG, I call (?) Folded to SB, aggressive, 2nd in chips, who quickly raises to t80. BB calls quickly. I didn't think either was strong at all. 1.) I raise all-in....thoughts? 2.) Let's say SB shows me KQo and BB guarantees he's folding. Push or Fold? I anticipate a lot of "fold preflop" but I'd also like to know what to do once i get to the second preflop decision. |

Re: Campus tournament, theoretical spot
You are too short to be limping 22 UTG. Fold when the action is first to you.
The limp-push is better than a limp call in this spot, once you limp the push is probably +cEV 2) This would be such an unbelieveably easy push. Look for threads in which calculations are done (or maybe someone will be kind enough to show you the math here) so that you can learn how to calculate equity. |
