KQs against 3bet
The table had been playing fairly tight. It´s my third orbit and have not seen many showdowns so no reads.
I´ve been toying around with pokerstove and although at the time I wanted to fold so bad it seems it wasn´t as marginal as I thought. I might be using the wrong hand ranges on both the turn and the river(TT+,AQs,AK). Just called on all streets. Kind of inducing bets from hands that might fold if I bet. Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG calls, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, 3 folds, Hero calls. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (8.5SB, 2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5.25BB, 2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (7.25BB, 2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. |

Re: KQs against 3bet
the fact ur range is probably a bit tighter than it should be and doesnt account for tatally stupid things villain could do means ur call is even less marginal than pokerstove says.
this hands totally standard i wouldnt feel great on the river hes betting a worse hand but what are u gonna do check fold? calling has to be slightly +EV vs almost everyone and u dont have a read to make this fold. Plus after u just call the turn many people will make a vb with less than top pair ( i would) |

Re: KQs against 3bet
Just curious here. Tight table, no one has stood out as overaggressive in three orbits(usually you will have at least a suspicion by then). Who is not peeling this flop?

[ QUOTE ]
c/r or b/c turn [/ QUOTE ] I´m lost here. Trying to understand the reasoning behind your line. c/r: He calls with 99,JJ,KQ,AKo. He 3bets with a set, AQ, KK+. Sometimes calls or raises with AJ AK [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. And probably folds 77-. Therefore if I get 3 bet I? b/c: I value bet the hand and if raised ... You want to showdown this hand no matter what, am I right? |

Re: KQs against 3bet
its only been 3 orbits and he said he hasnt seen many showdowns yet so i dont think that matters a ton really.
Even if we assume its a tight villain, i peel with just the Ts there is good enough for me laying almost 10:1 |

Re: KQs against 3bet
If I peel the flop i'm going to assume that I have the best hand if I hit.
Peeling the flop and then calling down makes little sense. I would C/R the turn and lead the river. |

Re: KQs against 3bet
I think check/raising the turn is a bit overkill without a read, and he might check through sometimes. I would've led the turn and called down a raise.
