I would agree - It's a delicate balance

Which is why this is the greatest game in the world.

For each strategy there is a counter-strategy.

For each adjustment there is a counter-adjustment.

I play SUPER tight in early position.

Can you all tell me what's the smallest hand you'll play up front under typical circumstances?

[/ QUOTE ]

for the non pairs.... AQ is borderline and depends on the table dynamics. AJ, KQ, etc are getting folded everytime. And FWIW, I run ~17/7 over the long haul in NL FR.

[/ QUOTE ]

I run 25/13 at NL50 and NL100.

Depending on table dynamics, I will:

Limp/Call - 22-88, AJs, AQo, KQs (but look for opportunities to ditch these under pressure)
Raise/Call - 99-QQ, AQs
Raise/Re-raise - KK-AA, AK

All of these are open-raising hands by CO.

If I have been playing with the same people for a while, or depending on the table (player raises any limped hand, calling station/fish, etc), I will occasionally raise a limping hand or limp a raising hand.

Unless the table is 3-betting often (which NL25 rarely has):
22+
AQs+
AKo

I'll add if the table really likes folding to cbets:
AQo
AJs

And I will adjust differently if the table has many shortstacks (in addition to removing the checkmark from "Auto Post Blinds").

That's all EP. MP I add premiums SCs and any broadway and LP I add Axs and button I add any ace. Roughly.

And I will open-raise everything I play (will sometimes limp behind other limpers with SCs and cold call with SCs and PPs).

What preflop % do you have Juu ?

I'm roughly the same...I limp 55-22 up front most of the time however

This stuff does vary alot depending on my feel for the table, my opponents, my image, etc.

I'll also limp suited connectors and 1 gappers in EP and call raises depending on other action and raiser.
