yahoo story

the guy's passenger only gave him a .30 tip. he still tracked her down. then the cheap wad gave him a $100 reward which he tried to refuse, but then accepted to cover the lost fares he incurred in trying to find her.

I thought this was about Cabbie from Howard Stern for a moment.

good to hear people still are honest out there

as an aside, I presume the woman would have had to contact the news about this for me to have found out about it?

He didn't see the diamonds until it was opened at HQ with the manager there, not really impressive that it was returned. If it was a loose ring that he found on his own that would be different.

Also I like this line :

[ QUOTE ]

"I enjoy my life. I'm satisfied," said Chowdhury, who is single.

[/ QUOTE ]

nice bit of social commentary by the writer.

cbloom,

This is still impressive. It just means the manager was honest too. If you think that a manager wouldn't say "Hey, let's just split it, man"...you're crazy.

Anyhow, nice story. The lady sounds like a real treat.
