Default Re: Are the Cards on Pokerstars Random?

I had a downswing last March and one in September, with each one I look at these issues more and more thoroughly. I don't think randomization of cards is the way to go, though. The first thing I'd look at is opponent collusion.

Unfortunately, just as I was getting to the good stuff, I cut off my analysis in October because I stopped losing. During the upswings I don't look at these things, I conclude that the games can't be too rigged because I'm winning.

FWIW the games "feel" cleaner to me than a few months ago.

I always limp AA-QQ in every position (or flat call). Then I go all-in on every flop regardless of texture, number of opponents or stack size. For some strange reason, I seem to lose much more than I should with these hands. Online poker must be rigged!!!!

I don't know if this was a point made already or not because im not reading through all of these.
WHY?
Why don't casinos take face cards out of the deck in there BJ games? The answer is simple...because they can get in trouble and the trouble that they can get into isn't worth the natural edge money the game generates.
PS, FT these sites deal a million hands a day or better so why risk anything? AA vs KK will happen and they will get the $3 rake from this hand. If online poker is being cheated by the house the industry will NEVER recover. So they can choose to make one X a day and insure their future by spending money to make sure everything is kosher. my .01

You're right it hasn't been mentioned because it has no business being in this thread. Tell me who it is that regulates this industry, so that I can call them and confirm with them that the games are on the level.

In case you've been on some other planet, these gambling sites have NO REGULATORS. Who are they going to get in trouble with their mommies? And who is capable of proving that the games are rigged. Apparently the software isn't out there.

These people who run these sites are not Tarts like you. Online poker is here to stay and they dont have to cheat to make money.
Now will they make more money if they rig hands..sure
will every person quit if they are caught cheating.. YES
So why take something that is so profitable without cheating and ruin it for for the masses forever. Makes no sense at all.

The PokerStars software security page says that 52! is "about 2225," when it's really a 68-digit number. Why would you even give an approximate to a number with only 4 digits, and not even make it a round number.

Somebody brought that up before and I think somebody determined that it's a typo.

Probably should be 2^225 or something like that.

Anyone confirm? If so then Stars could probably consider changing that typo since it's been up for a few yrs I think.

OP: "Look at my database."
Everyone Else: "Okay, let's see it."
OP: "I'm going to ignore you now and hope that you don't notice my random changes of topic."

Even if you're right Bob, this thread has nothing more to offer than the typical "LOL STARZ IZ RIGGED!!!1!!" posts. Please, somebody, kill it.
