The drop off from Nash to Barbosa is minimal. I am going to ride the Suns until the oddsmakers figure this out.

SO Barbosa is nearly an MVP candidate?

No no no no no no no no no no no

As someone who has watched 95% of Suns games this year, let me just say NO! I cringe every time Nash leaves the court...

Then why did the suns need OT to win?

Ok, last night the Suns played how many minutes of basketball.

48 plus 5 in OT.

During those 53 minutes, they either trailed or were TIED for maybe a total of 2 minutes.

They had the game in hand firmly for all but maybe 20 seconds total. They had the point spread covered for nearly the same amount of time also.

The simply weren't that motivated to take on the Blazers.
Barbosa isn't that bad. He would start nightly for 80 percent of the other teams in the NBA.

If this would have been a playoff opening round game, or something like that the Suns would've crushed the Blazers.

The Blazers are not that good, and the Suns beat upon non-playoff teams.

Not a square, just a realist.

You make some nice points, but the dropoff from any starter to a 2-time MVP is not small. I think the suns win without NASH because of the other ALLSTARS they have, not barbosa. IMO.

The suns don't generally win by a little. I think last night was an exception and in reality the loss of nash makes the team much worse. Just because they took the game, you are thinking otherwise.
