Re: 5CD - bluff or not?
[ QUOTE ]
Once he took three then you should not have taken any. [/ QUOTE ] Hero is in the SB, so he acts first. By the time Villain draws three, it's too late for Hero to (reactively) pat-bluff. Are you saying that Hero should pat-bluff *before* he knows how many cards Villain is going to draw? |

Out of position SUCKS in this game [/ QUOTE ] agreed. There were some interesting concepts in that other thread. I think you have some more options about how to play it in a pot-limit game. What does "ballpark" mean? It sounds like the Norwegian word "ballespark", but I guess it means something else. |

Re: 5CD - bluff or not?
i guess thats an american term, if something is estimated rough;y, you can say its a "ballpark guess", or "its in the same ballpark". probably from baseball?
ex) "man, your wife has huge boobs! are they D-cups?" "no no, but they're a big C" "oh yeah, same ballpark. they're real nice though!" as i think about it more, i dont really understand where this expression comes from, its doesnt make much sense and BALLESPARK sounds dirty. a gay porn title? Re: 5CD - bluff or not?
Yeah, "ballpark" literally is a baseball stadium. The usual non-literal meaning is to indicate that your guess about something is relatively close.
I like Big Limpin's example. |

and BALLESPARK sounds dirty. a gay porn title? [/ QUOTE ] Maybe this isn't relevant to poker, but here goes... I'm not really into gay porn, but I guess that some sick people would like to watch males getting kicked in the balls/nuts. (spark = kick) |
