Top two, weak low draw, PLO8
http://www.pokerhand.org/?800155
-I usually don't play PLO $600. -So far on the table I've been limp calling and folding flops, raising PF and not c-betting flops. So I may have a weak/scared money image on the table. -I don't anything about villain. Here, I limp and get raised from the SB. Flop gives me top two and a bad low draw. I feel like I didn't think enough before I got my money in - I was just thinking, he has 2-4 or just a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] x [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I'm feeling that I should've folded to his three-bet, or just folded to his bet (?) I'll post results later. |

Re: Top two, weak low draw, PLO8
DaveBReal, that guy's a huge fish...Should be EZ money...
But seriously BuklaH is probably the top PLO8 player on Stars (what was he on Party, GASSSS_U?), never played with him, just watched him a lot to try to learn...Saw him sitting with like $9500 one nite on a PLO8 $1000 table...Dave would probably be able to comment better on his tendancies, but this isn't a Mustafa situation where he has a set...I think this guy could 3-bet with a wide variety, including a set of As and a low or a super-wrap with a straigh and flush draw... You sure know how to go up against the big boys, don't you? |

Re: Top two, weak low draw, PLO8
Tough spot but two pair with a flush draw, wheel draw out there isn't a spot to go to war with.

You sure know how to go up against the big boys, don't you? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, haha, I do tend to get into tough situations with the regulars. Usually to my detriment Since not many responses have been posted so far, I'll post the results, and hopefully more responses will come in: Buklah held A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Turn was a 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], River was a 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I ended up scooping a very nice $1600 pot. I think this may be his reasoning: 1) I could be raising a 2-4 nut low draw, or wheel draw, just like I thought he was raising. 2) He may be be able to push me off a two pair hand (?) 3) Just like me, he can't just call and go to the turn with any money behind. If I catch a low, he's getting freerolled. 4) I may have a flush draw also, in which case his jack-high and his two pair may make him a favorite. Still, overall I don't think his three-bet/push was good. I don't think that he has much fold equity against me, when I have 2/5 of my stack in already with my pot sized raise. Also, even against a wheel draw (without a flush draw) it's close to 50-50. But again, given the other post here, he may have a tendency to push mediocre hands hard.. Thoughts? Like I said, I don't play this high usually, so maybe more the players are very aggressive like him. |

Re: Top two, weak low draw, PLO8
I'm with you, I don't usually play even close to that high...When ever I try to chip up and play higher I find myself floundering because my opponents at the lower levels are so bad that I find I'm still trying to push against opponents that are making far less mistakes...
