[ QUOTE ]
I was told to ask this here, so here I go.

It is harder to multi-table shorthanded STTs because it is
your time to act a lot more often than in longhanded ones.

[/ QUOTE ]

No. It is harder because shorthanded STTs involve more post-flop play.

[ QUOTE ]
I would assume this leads to a smaller share of players in the shorthanded STTs are multi-tablers than in longhanded ones, and those who do multi-table play on average fewer tables than the multi-tablers in longhanded STTs.

[/ QUOTE ]
I assume the same.

[ QUOTE ]
This means that in an average shorthanded STTs, a smaller share of the players are multi-tabling compared to the share in longhanded tournaments. But I donīt know how much smaller.

This leads me to this question:
If you are single-tabling a 6-seat STT on Stars, how many of the other players can you expect to be multi-tabling?

[/ QUOTE ]
I multi-table 10-seat STT on Party, and it is unusual to see more than 1 player on more than one table. It is extremely rare to see 3 or more players on more than one table.

I only look at other tables I'm on, but since I'm typically playing every single $55 that is running when I'm playing I think I get good coverage.

[ QUOTE ]
3? 2? 1? 0,5? Something else?

[/ QUOTE ]
I would guess 1.

[ QUOTE ]
The reason why I ask this is that when I encounter a player I have met before, it would be nice to know how likely it is he is a multi-tabler as that would effect how much of my play he has noticed.

If he is multi-tabling, he probably only has PAHUD-stats on me, and if he is single-tabling he has a more complete picture of me.

As the optimal strategy against a multi-tabler and a single-tabler is different, it would be nice to know how likely it is a random player is a multi-tabler.

[/ QUOTE ]

From the tone and implications of your post, I think the changes you are making to your strategy when playing against single tabler might be flawed.

If they are playing only one table at a time, they are probably poor players. I can not imagine any good player confining themselves to one table (except in odd situations like if they were recording a video for an instrucional website, or if they were finishing a set, or if they were doing homework or something at the same time)
