I'm not sure about stupid. I think you have to at least consider that villain might be tricky enough to bluff a slow played set. If he started with big overs AQs or something like that. Missed the flop. Then raised the turn.. A lot of people play a set that way, as you know, and while fewer will bluff it, you have to think it could happen depending on how he reads you.
There is always the chance he was playing something weak example 7s,5s and hit his 2nd pair on the turn. For the specific hand I guess on frequency alone I think it is smarter to fold and let someone else expose that play if he does like to bluff it.
