If you are playing casino poker then best get used to it!

I play every now and then and the level of play is terrible. I figure this is because most players see the game as purely gambling rather than any element of skill or strategy. I think there seems to be an addiction element to some of the guys I see there- all in blind, etc.

Though this may drive you crazy, as long as you stick to your game and punish idiot players when you have a hand then you should see a profit long term, as long as you can put up with swings. Usually in casino poker, definately limit, people will chase any draw at any price. Make them pay to do this and eventually it will be worth it

Good luck

p.s if your casino is anything like mine, keep bluffs to an absolute minimum. wait for the big hands and play them hard

What you should really be concerned about is playing your cards correctly. It's hard to tell if you made mistakes, because you didn't really give enough information. But what you should be thinking about with that huge pot is how to protect your hand, if that's possible (it might not be). For example, if you can arrange a check/raise on the turn, that would be good. At least, this is the type of thing you should be thinking about.

Nothing tough about this. If you don't see the profit in players like that then you have a lot to learn; probably should move down in stakes.

Dear Gawd Almighty - keep me off the table where I am the 10th best player in the world and the top 9 are at that table waiting for me.

Please review the definitions of EV+ and dead $. Makes it a whole lot easier to say "nice hand" even when it isn't. If you can't say "nice hand", take a hike until you can. Had to take a hike myself Sat. Night. Not because of suckout, but because I was playing like a horse's hindquarters. *Hit happens. Go with it.

These guys don't play with "normal logic". Some love the action, other like to play in big pots, others get kicks out of trying push you around with big bets that make no sense. Once you learn how to handle these crazies you can do well against them. The most frustrating thing for me is when you got a maniac throwing lots of chips in the pots and I can't catch a decent hand to punish them big.

Hi Tony

Those guys who raise with trash are gold! I wish I could play with a table full of them every night. Play a solid aggressive tight game as taught by SSHE and you will take their money over the long haul.

Actually I have only two things that bother me at a poker table. First is folks complaining about losing because they had the best hand before the river but lost. Its poker, its gambling. Losing is part of the deal. If you cant take the lose without whining find another hobby. My other beef is with the reasonably intelligent folks who start bitching at the FISH who call and call and call hoping for a long shot to hit, and educating them about the real odds. Why scare the FISH away? Why educate the FISH? We need the FISH. Be nice to the FISH. When the FISH get lucky be smart enough to congratulate them, smile and wait for a chance to feed on them. And don't scare them away when I am at the table!!!!

You are getting beat up pretty well, although I don't think you are getting your frustration answered correctly.

You said you have seven players in the hand and you raised with KK. That is 14 cards against you. With everyone limping, they are playing all kinds of trash. With a flop of 7,5,2 at least three have some piece of it due to their limping.

So there was likely one flopped pair perhaps one held pair, two straight draws and maybe a flush draw against your KK.

Kings are good, but there is a time when you have to ponder that they won't live to see the river?
