Re: Worst non-poker segment on a poker show?
I think that is cool. The old couple that are Phil Ivey fans. What is wrong with that? They are two people who are retired and enjoy poker, they met Phil while playing in Atlantic City. It gives them someone to cheer for, it's like going to an NBA game and cheering for your favorite player. Phil Ivey's face though is priceless when they interview him about them and tell them they are huge fans and came to watch him play. His eyes open up real wide and gives a weird look and says, Wow, I didn't even know that.

Re: Worst non-poker segment on a poker show?
Wow. There have been a lot of good replies to this one already. The 'Heads Up' theme song is pretty lousy, but there is a never-ending supply of lameness among the WSOP bio pieces.
I don't like the ones that are over sentimental, like when they profiled Al Krux and played sappy music while he talked about winning for his kids or something. There was also a guy on WPT, and when he started talking about game theory in terrificly vague non-detail, they mixed in computer beeps and boops with the muzak. |

The guy wearing the finger painted handprints of his kids on his shirt so he would "get good hands" made me want to puke.
