I'd go broke every time. AK and A's will play this hand the same.

Raising with a baby pair is not a bad move if you are willing to fold post flop.

As I said, I was able to control that table well. It was very tight passive. I could do a raise here and there from UTG, to represent a strong hand and take the pot on the flop with a CB a lot.

I called the reraise because he was such a deep stack that hitting a set could really get me paid off.

Sorry for not including the stack sizes, I was at around $34, he was $33.
