The top ATP pros serve at about 150-160 mph. I'm pretty sure that women serve in the low 100's at best.

[/ QUOTE ]

Roger Federer serves, typically, around 125 mph. He peaks around 130 mph.

Andy Roddick has the fastest ever recorded men's tennis serve at 156 mph.

The Williams sisters have highs of 125 mph for Serena and 127mph for Venus.

The fastest ever recorded women's tennis serve is 130 mph.

I'm not sure why most think Federer would lose. We used to call 2 on 1 "Irish Doubles" and found that the single player was the one with the advantage. So I say Federer easy on a singles court with the sisters on a doubles court. And I'd tip Fed to win the other two also.

i don't think serena williams, at her peak of a few years ago, is that big a dog to federer. he still has a big advantage, but i think she could compete on the men's tour, though she would be in the lower half of the top 100.

You're a big time idiot.

She "might" make a few of the NAIA men's teams. Guys who're a buck 30 would overpower her and are much more agile.

This is hilarious. She would loose to the top 100 6-0 6-0 or 6-1 6-1 in pretty much all of the matches. A 115mph serve is nothing for a professional mens player. People for some reason think that Serena has all of this power compared to some of the men, when in reality the men hit so much harder on a consistent basis. She also has no were near the quickness that the men have.

Fed is too sick, he rolls here. Fed is only a slight dog to Jesus Christ, unless Jesus is coming off a long layoff, in which case I would take Fed.

Several years ago there was a reference in an article about how when Serena was saying she should move to the men's tour, some guy ranked over 100 offered to play her in a casual match to try it out. They said after being blanked in one set she quietly quit.
