Default Marginal play with K-J?

I was playing in a small($60) buy-in tourney last Friday(70 players, top 7 get paid) and made it to the final 2 tables. Blinds were 500/1000 and I'm in the BB with about 7300 in chips. Action was folded around to Button who pushed all-in for 3600. SB folded and I looked down at K-Js. I'm pretty sure the button player has a weak Ace from having seen him make this move already a couple times before and getting called. If I call and lose, I'm down to 3700 and I'm in the SB next hand and the next blind level is a couple minutes away(1k/2k). I'm getting 2:1 on the call I figure I'm either a 3-2 dog to a weak Ace or about 6-5 against a small/med pair. I called and he flipped over an A-3 and his hand held up.

Did I make the right decision to call in this spot, or should I have waited for a better opportunity to push later with more chips?

Absolutely must-call. And for the record, with KJs you're not a 3-2 dog against a weak offsuit ace. You're 45-46% to win, so for all practical purposes I'd say it's a coinflip.

Easy, easy call. Not being that great a player, he could easily be trying to steal the blinds, and even then, he'd have to push with almost any hand soon, and if he has any ace or any decent K or Q or any pair, he's pushing. Even good suited connectors can push.

Thanks. I've been reading posts on 2+2 for the past couple months and the insight has really improved my game. I appreciate all your feedback and look forward to dissecting more hands in the future.

Insta-call. Not to be repetitive but welcome. You really start learning from 2p2 when you start posting regularly so hope to see you around.
