Field to win MVP 10-1
This seems like good value. Def players have won 8 MVPs. Now, field does not include Urlacher and Sanders, but with Def historically being 4-1 against, I think 10-1 is a good overlay for Freeney, Briggs, June, Vasher, or some random Off or Def guy [Chuck Howley, Dent, etc.]
Vinatieri at 20-1 and Gould at 40-1 or more is not bad either. |

I would take both the kickers, but hell what do I know.

Re: Field to win MVP 10-1
If Vinatieri hasn't won a SB MVP yet, he's not going to. He can't contribute to a SB win any more than he already has--unless he comes in to relieve an injured Peyton Manning, and engineers a couple of late TD drives to pull out a victory.
If the Colts win, I can't see anybody but Peyton getting the credit for it. If I liked the Colts to win this game, I'd take Peyton for MVP at a plus price, before I laid points or the ML. A Colts win = a Manning MVP. Unless one of his WR's sets a SB record, I just can't see it going any other way. |

Laddies has Vinatieri at 34-1 and Gould 67-1. Playable?

At some point, however, you have to like Gould. only 1.5% to win MVP? Maybe... As for vinatieri, he did miss two in the CAR game. That would seem to be a point against him in that one, but you're probably right on him. |

Re: Field to win MVP 10-1
You wouldn't be able to parlay that anywhere, I wouldn't think. Or a book is an idiot, because you can essentially double (more or less depending on team) your payout on every player:
P(Colts win|Peyton MVP) ~ 1 So by betting Peyton MVP you're also betting that the Colts win. It'd be like parlaying Colts -7 and Colts ML. |

Yes. I try to find opportunities to make the book look like an idiot. It isn't easy to do and I'm disappointed I missed this one.

Re: Field to win MVP 10-1
I'm pretty sure there's be value parlaying any quarterback with that player's team to win. Someone I know was able to parlay Roethlisberger MVP/Steelers ML and Hasselback MVP/Seahawks ML last year, I didn't hear if he was able to do the same thing this year.
